Michael Ievers

Michael trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. He can currently be seen featuring in Rich Peppiatt’s upcoming film, Kneecap, starring Michael Fassbender, and in the TV series, Sanctuary, directed by Justin Molotnikov, and starring Elish Liburd and Elaine Cassidy. Michael also featured in a short film for Joyce's Women, for the Abbey Theatre, Dublin in 2022, directed by Conall Morrison.

In earlier years, he represented Ireland playing Joe in Winners (Friel) at the World Drama Festival in Japan in 1985, and he was the first winner of the Colin Blakely Award at the Grand Opera House, Belfast in 1987 (Adj: Bob Thomson), and winner of the AUDF Gold Medal in 1996 & 2009. Michael has been recognised with over 40 awards for acting, stage managing and directing in amateur theatre festivals (UK & Ireland).

His authored stage plays include: Sharkey (2014), nationally awarded in the ‘Geoffrey Whitworth’ United Kingdom play-writing competition, 2015; Bobby Savage’s Secret War (2018), first professionally performed by Marble Productions NI in September 2018; and The Professor and the Factory (2019,) first professionally performed by Marble Productions NI in May, 2019.
